Jamie Carragher is extremely confident that Liverpool will BEAT Arsenal on Sunday as he was involved in a heated exchange with Gary Neville on Monday Night Football.

Carragher and Neville previewed the blockbuster clash between Liverpool and Arsenal on Sunday following Everton's 1-1 draw against Tottenham.

Host Dave Jones asked Carragher if Liverpool could beat Arsenal. The former Reds defender confidently replied: "Yeah. I think Liverpool will beat Arsenal at home."

Neville chipped in, saying: "That's a big call."

Carragher then referred back to the Wout Weghorst-Cristiano Ronaldo debate, arguing his colleague didn't give a definitive answer.

Neville attempted to justify himself as he shared his own views on Sunday's Anfield showdown.

The former Manchester United captain called Arsenal's trip to Liverpool a 'acid test' and claimed they will 'definitely' win the Premier League title should they pick up all three points. If not, it will then be in Manchester City's hands.

"If Arsenal win at Liverpool, they'll win definitely win the league," he said.

The Gunners continued their impressive league form by beating Leeds United 4-1 last weekend, with Gabriel Jesus bagging a brace.

The Blues produced the same result against Liverpool after going behind. Pep Guardiola's team delivered a rampant second-half performance to beat Jurgen Klopp's side.

Arsenal sit at the top of the league, eight points clear of Man City, who have a game in hand over their rivals.

The league's top two still have a huge clash against each other as they meet at the Etihad on April 26.

The title race is hotting up. Who takes it? Let us know who you think.
