Harry Kane made his Bayern Munich debut against RB Leipzig.

Fans think Harry Kane has taken his 'Spurs curse' to Bayern Munich following his nightmare debut against RB Leipzig.

Kane made his first appearance for his new team on Saturday following his £100 million transfer from Tottenham.

He entered the fray just after the hour mark as he replaced Mathys Tel in the DFL Supercup final.

But the England international was unable to inspire the German giants to victory as Leipzig produced a stellar showing at the Allianz Arena.

Leipzig stunned Bayern with a 3-0 win as Dani Olmo bagged a stunning hat-trick.

After the result, fans on social media took aim at Kane, claiming he has taken his 'Spurs curse' with him to the home of the Bundesliga champion.

Of course, the 30-year-old left Spurs without winning a major trophy, with the forward failing in his first attempt at claiming a piece of silverware with Bayern.

One Twitter user wrote: "Harry Kane has actually brought the Spurs trophy curse to Bayern."

A second tweeted: "Harry Kane has taken the Spurs curse of not winning trophies to Bayern."

A third added: "It might have been Kane curse all along, not Spurs."

A fourth said: "Harry Kane carried the Spurs' curse to Bayern."

Another commented: "Harry Kane is actually a curse. Spurs might do the quad now."

Kane has two League Cup/EFL Cup runner-up medals from the 2014/15 and 2020/21 season as well as a Champions League runner-up medal from the 2018/19 campaign.

He's also failed to win a trophy at international level, having lost the Euro 2020 final to Italy.

Speaking after the result, Thomas Tuchel said he felt sorry for his new star man: "I'm just sorry for him. He probably thinks we haven't trained for four weeks.

"Our performance today had nothing to do with what we set out to do. It's a very bitter evening, I'm sorry."

Kane, meanwhile, is in line to make his Bundesliga debut next Friday when Bayern face Werder Bremen.
