First Bayern Munich player 'wants to play' for another club as Vincent Kompany prepares to take over

First Bayern Munich player 'wants to play' for another club as Vincent Kompany prepares to take over

Vincent Kompany could have a difficult first task convincing one of his star players to stay at Bayern Munich.

Vincent Kompany could have an early problem to contend with at Bayern Munich as it's claimed one of his star players wants to play elsewhere.

Kompany is poised to become the new Bayern boss, with reports claiming a deal is close for the Belgian to take the job.

The former Manchester City captain is believed to be Bayern's ninth choice for the position after suffering a number of rejections in their search for a new coach.

Although he suffered relegation and won just five games with Burnley in the Premier League last season, Bayern admire Kompany's way of working and are set to appoint him.

Already there is talk of potential new additions, including interest in Kompany's former City teammate John Stones.

But there are also reports stating that one of Bayern's most important players has ambitions to move on.

Carlos Carpio of MARCA claims that Jamal Musiala has a desire to play for Real Madrid.

The Germany international has developed into one of the most exciting midfield talents around and both Real and City are believed to be keeping tabs.

But speaking on Ruben Martin's Twitch, Carpio stressed that Muisala prefers a move to Los Blancos.

The 14-time Champions League winners are continuing to build a super-team for the future and placing an emphasis on acquiring the best young players around.

They also like Muisala's compatriot Florian Wirtz and see him as a potential addition in the near future.

Musiala has a deal with Bayern until 2026 but Real could make a move, most likely next summer when his price tag may be cheaper.

Despite a disappointing season for Bayern, Musiala impressed with 12 goals and eight assists in 38 appearances.

The 21-year-old, who spent time in the youth ranks of Southampton and Chelsea, joined Bayern as a 16-year-old back in 2019.
