Between now and the end of the season Gareth Southgate will have his eyes on a lot of players as he decides who to take to Russia and the World Cup this summer. One youngster is well fancied to join the squad.

It is now just 135 days till the World Cup starts. That means it's about 100 days till we all really start believing England can win and 149 days till we can get depressed about being knocked out.

Gareth Southgate will of course head into the tournament optimistic of his side's chances and has experimented with a solid enough five at the back system to give himself some options.

The teenager headed to India to be part of England's under 17s World Cup bid and scored three goals in three games in the Group Stages before his club called him back.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Jack Cork, Nathaniel Chalobah, Jake Livermore, Lewis Cook, Ross Barkley and James Ward-Prowse are likely to be amongst Sancho's competition for the final few central midfield positions.
