When Barcelona lined up against the A-League All-Stars, fans were treated to talents from the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Dani Alves, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

However, it was the clash of two behemoths that caused a raucous online reaction from Australian football fans.

That’s right the battle of Adama Traore against Adama Traoré stole the show and the hearts of many online.

The Ivorian left-back who plays for Western Sydney Wanderers went up against Barcelona’s forward who joined on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers in January.

Of course, the memes were off the chart for the Traore clash.

Meme legends A-League Memes were on fire throughout the game, and of course, posted the iconic identical Spider-Man meme to play up the importance of the historical moment.

French winger Ousmane Dembele opened up the scoring for the Spanish side - playing potentially his last match for Barcelona as his contract finishes up in a couple of months.

The All-Stars surprisingly pulled back through Wellington Phoenix midfielder Reno Piscopo early in the second half.

It was from here that the game turned into the tale of two Adama Traore's.

Minds were blown when the two Adama Traore players actually clashed in the midst of the game causing an explosion of gigantic proportions - for Australian football fans at least.

While everyone expected the mammoth Barcelona forward to find his way onto the scoresheet, it was in fact the Ivorian defender who scored in the 53rd minute to give the All-Stars the surprising lead.

When FC Barcelona posted to their Twitter account: “Goal A-League All Stars. Adama Traoré. 2-1”

One user hilariously replied: “Adama Traore scored, but for who Chris Kamara?”

The reply was accompanied by a picture of the English broadcaster, playing off the moment in which he was asked who received a red card at the Portsmouth and Blackburn game.

He infamously replied: “I don’t know Jeff.”

It took until the 72nd minute for the opposing Traore to finally put the ball into the back of the net with a thunderous shot that All-Stars keeper Kurto couldn’t prevent from crossing the line.
