Adama Traore Was Unstoppable Against Atletico Madrid, His Individual Highlights Are Something Else

Adama Traore starred on his second Barcelona debut.

Adama Traore was unstoppable against Atletico Madrid on his second Barcelona debut, with his individual highlights making for incredible viewing.

Xavi put Traore straight into the starting XI for his side's huge La Liga clash against Atleti on Sunday following the player's transfer from Wolves.

And the 26-year-old repaid his manager's faith by dropping an absolutely dominant performance on his return to Spain's top flight.

Mario Hermoso was tasked with defending against Traore, but he was unable to stop him - with the muscular winger rampaging down the right flank in the first half.

He beat his man in almost every duel and whipped a delightful cross to Gavi for Barca's second goal.

Traore was a constant threat and gave Hermoso a nightmare outing at the Camp Nou.

A compilation of his performance has since emerged online and it's something else.

Traore's showing for Barca got fans talking online.

One tweeted; "We should never have sold him. He's extremely effective against low blocks."

A second wrote: "Pedri should really start feeding him the ball more instead of cutting inside. Ain’t no one stopping him on the wing with his pace. Unreal."

A third added: "You play different when you are from the premier league. Adama Traore is a baller."

Speaking after Barca's 4-2 victory over Atleti, Xavi hailed Traore's decision making in a glowing review.

"Adama is a very mature player. He knows when to face up, when to pass and he’s chosen his moments well today," said the club legend.

"Physically he is an animal, a beast. He is a pure winger and he will help us.

"He is a great signing for the team.

"Adama makes the difference. He has power, strength, he dribbles at opponents and he’s solid in defence."

Traore could keep his place in the team when Barca resume their league campaign on Sunday against Espanyol.
