Arsenal are "tempting" three incredibly important players to extend their contracts at the club.

The Gunners are currently top of the Premier League table and this is helping their negotiations when it comes to contract talks, according to Fabrizio Romano.

In his latest YouTube video, Romano explains that Arsenal are pushing Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and William Saliba to extend their contracts.

He reveals there has been a contract on the table since February waiting for Bukayo Saka to sign.

Arsenal are "relaxed" about Martinelli's contract situation

"William Saliba, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli. Arsenal will push to extend their contracts, they are optimistic in all the negotiations.

"For Saliba, there is a proposal on the table," Romano said. "For Bukayo Saka since February, Arsenal are in direct talks with his agents and they feel the player wants to stay."

Romano then discussed Mikel Arteta's tricky winger: "With Gabriel Martinelli, they are pushing and pushing again in the next days and weeks.

"They are really optimistic also with Martinelli, the contract with Martinelli is until 2024 and I'm told there is an option to extend for a further season," he revealed.

"Arsenal feel relaxed on this Martinelli story, but they want to give him an improved contract so they are discussing with Martinelli and his agents.

"All these players are tempted by staying long term with Arsenal, there is a really positive atmosphere," he added.

Martinelli is currently enjoying a fine run of form in the Arsenal side.

He has seven goal contributions in 13 league appearances this season.

The Brazilian has been called up to his national team's World Cup squad as a result.
