Referee errors have cost Arsenal in every Premier League game they have dropped points in

Referee errors have cost Arsenal in every Premier League game they have dropped points in

Arsenal were denied all three points by an equaliser from Brentford’s Ivan Toney

An Arsenal fan has discovered that every time the Gunners have dropped points in the Premier League this season, a blatant error was made by the referee.

On Saturday afternoon, Mikel Arteta’s men dropped two points after Brentford scored in the 74th minute to grind out a 1-1 draw.

However, replays have shown that when Christian Norgaard crossed the ball for Toney to score, he was clearly in an offside position.

Arsenal were left seething that VAR did not rule out the goal, and it was later revealed that the VAR official, Lee Mason forgot to draw lines to see whether Norgaard was offside.

This has resulted in an apology from the PGMOL and has also led to one Arsenal fan digging into the archives to prove that every time the Gunners have dropped points, the referee also made a bad call.

For example, Gabriel Martinelli had a goal against Manchester United ruled out during the 3-1 defeat after VAR felt Martin Odegaard had fouled United man Christian Eriksen in the build-up.

However, the replays showed that the contact was minimal.

In the 0-0 draw against Newcastle United at the Emirates, Arsenal were denied what looked like a clear penalty after defender Gabriel’s shirt was pulled by Magpies centre-back Dan Burn. Again, VAR did not give the penalty.

During last week’s 1-0 defeat by Everton at Goodison Park, Arsenal were again denied what looked like a stonewall penalty. With Gabriel on the end of a clumsy-looking tackle by Neal Maupay.

The Gunners may feel hard done by but they are still in pole position to claim their first Premier League title since the 03/04 campaign.

After the draw against Brentford, Arsenal stretched their lead at the summit to six points ahead of Manchester City’s match against Aston Villa.

On Wednesday, it is a mouth-watering clash between Arsenal and City that could have a major impact on the outcome of this dramatic title race.

Can Arsenal hold on and win the Premier League? Only time will tell.
