Arsenal and Tottenham put on red alert as ex-Real Madrid star has contract ripped up, he's available on a free

Arsenal and Tottenham have been put on red alert amid reports Isco’s Sevilla contract has been terminated.

Arsenal and Tottenham have been put on red alert after Isco’s Sevilla contract was ripped up, according to reports.

The former Spain star only signed a two-year deal at Sevilla in August, after the expiry of his Real Madrid contract.

At Los Blancos Isco scored 53 goals and registered 56 assists across 353 appearances in all competitions and won a whopping 19 trophies across nine years, including three La Liga titles and five Champions Leagues.

However, the midfielder’s decline has been rapid with Spanish publication Marca now reporting that the 30-year-old will soon depart from Sevilla.

Isco will be a free agent, having contributed just one goal and three assists in his 19 hames at Los Nervionenses. The poor form and injury woes are said to have culminated in a row with Sevilla sporting director Monchi.

Isco was linked to a number of sides across the continent last summer including Arsenal and Spurs. Could either make a swoop for the former Spain international in January?

Who will sign Isco?

Fichajes has claimed that Mikel Arteta is confident of reigniting Isco’s career, with the Gunners in need of more depth to their midfield.

Meanwhile former suitors Tottenham could be interested in a move for the player, having missed out in the summer.

Only five months ago, Isco snubbed interest from England and Italy to remain in Spain and join up with ex-Spain and Real boss Julen Lopetegui at Sevilla.

However, Lopetegui was sacked after Sevilla failed to get out of their Champions League group.

Marca have claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers could also be a potential destination for the midfielder.

Wolves are sat bottom of the Premier League, four points off safety, but have hired Isco’s former coach Lopetegui to save them from the drop.
