Fans come up with new theory after Arsenal players pose with huge clock after Fulham win

As Arsenal celebrated their win over Fulham by posing for a picture with a huge clock, fans have thought of a new theory.

On Sunday, Mikel Arteta’s men extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to five points as goals from Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard sealed a comfortable 3-0 win.

It was yet another statement performance from Arsenal as they look to clinch their first league title since the 03/04 season.

After the match, the Gunners stars posed for a picture with a huge clock inside the dressing room.

The clock hands were placed at 11 and 2, which has got fans talking on social media as they believe it was to say “11 games 2 go” before the season finishes.

One said: “Arteta defo showed this clock to the team during the pre-match team talk.”

Another tweeted: “This is mad cryptic.”

A third fan added: “What a mentality you have.”

Someone else wrote: “My team until the end.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “This Clock Meaning 11 More Games To Go 2 Trophies To Fight For Arsenal.”

During his post-match interview, Arteta said: “Really happy with the performance, winning 3-0 away from home, keeping the clean sheet, with the chances we created and the goals we scored.

“Big compliment to the team because we deserved to win, we played really well.

“We had a goal disallowed and psychologically we had to come back from that but we kept trying, we playing, kept finding the spaces against a really organised team and overall, really happy.”

Up next for the Gunners will be the Europa League round of 16 second tie against Sporting Lisbon, with the tie well in the balance after last week’s 2-2 draw in Portugal.

Can Arsenal fend off reigning champions Manchester City and lift the Premier League? Only time will tell.
