Cesc Fabregas left out club legend Thierry Henry when asked to name the most technically gifted teammates he played alongside at Arsenal.

Fabregas made his professional debut for Arsenal back in 2003, becoming the club's youngest-ever first-team player at the time, aged just 16 years and 177 days.

He would go on to score 57 goals in 304 games for the Gunners over the course of eight seasons in north London.

Fabregas would leave to rejoin his boyhood club Barcelona in 2011 and spent three seasons at the Nou Camp before moving to Arsenal's London rivals Chelsea in 2014.

He would enjoy his most successful years at Stamford Bridge, winning two Premier League titles, before moving on to Monaco in 2019.

Fabregas is now playing his club football for Como, having joined the Italian side in August – 19 years after his debut for Arsenal.

The Spaniard is rightfully viewed as one of the most gifted midfielders of his generation, having learnt his trade at Barcelona's fabled La Masia academy.

Fabregas names his most technically gifted Arsenal teammates

In a recent Q&A session on Twitter, Fabregas was asked which of his Arsenal teammates he viewed as being the most technically gifted, to which he replied: "Bergkamp, Rosicky and Hleb."

Fabregas played alongside Dutch legend Dennis Bergkamp in his early years at Arsenal, while he later established himself as a key figure in the team during Thomas Rosicky and Alexander Hleb's time at the Emirates.

Surprisingly, Fabregas failed to mention several Arsenal legends, including the club's all-time top scorer Henry and another member of the iconic 'Invincibles' team, Robert Pires.

While Fabregas did not include Henry, he has previously named the French striker as one of his greatest ever teammates.

And Henry has been equally as complimentary to Fabregas in the past, describing him as one of the Premier League's greatest midfielders.

Back in 2020, Henry said: "People like Patrick [Vieira] and Gilberto [Silva] couldn't get near you and that's when we knew you could play with us straight away. Then you go and score in the Carling Cup and the rest is history.

"Sometimes people do not mention it. People rightly talk about Kevin De Bruyne right now because the guy is unbelievable and David Silva unbelievable but for me you're up there with those guys."
