Arsenal showed their grit and determination after recording a narrow 1-0 win over London rivals Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Gabriel Magalhaes’ goal in the 63rd minute was enough to secure all three points for Mikel Arteta’s side as they climbed back to the summit of the Premier League table above Manchester City.

Now, footage of defender Ben White kicking a ball at Martin Odegaard’s head has gone viral. The funny moment happened during the goal celebration, as White approached the ball, he kicked and it landed perfectly on the back of the Arsenal captain’s head. You can watch the footage below.

It was a huge victory for Arsenal as they continued their stellar start to the 22/23 season. The Gunners will remain top of the Premier League for the World Cup break if they manage to win against Wolves this weekend.

After the match against Chelsea, Arteta was full of praise for his team and admitted that Arsenal are Premier League title contenders.

He said: “We are [competing for the title] today, but tomorrow is difficult.

“Just look at the last six years what Manchester City have done. With the best manager and best team in the world, they've shown it consistently in every single competition.

Arteta added: “We have to be very, very respectful of that and we're getting much better as a team and competing much better and getting really good results but this is a long, long show.”

Chelsea boss Graham Potter also recognised the difference in the Arsenal side this season. He said: “If you look at the Arsenal story of where they are now compared to one year, two years ago it's slightly different.

“I’m sure at times Mikel is getting pelters and that's how it is. That's the job and that's life.”

However, City will be a tough opponent to beat as they are the reigning champions and has won four of the last five titles. In addition, they now have Norway superstar Erling Haaland in their ranks, who adds extra firepower to an already world-class attack.

Will Arsenal be able to sustain their fine start to the season and challenge City all the way? Only time will tell.
