Footage Shows Antonio Rudiger Taking Man-Marking To The Extreme Against Mo Salah

Mo Salah has scored 16 goals in the Premier League this season and Antonio Rudiger tried to mark him very tightly.

Antonio Rudiger took "tight marking" to a whole different level in regards to Mo Salah in Sunday's clash between Chelsea and Liverpool.

Salah scored a glorious solo goal in the first half to put Liverpool 2-0 up in the 2-2 draw, sending Marcos Alonso to the shops and beating Edouard Mendy at his near post.

It was the Egyptian star's 16th goal in the Premier League this season and further cemented his place as the best player in the country at the moment.

However, in one moment during the pulsating affair, Rudiger could not have got any tighter to Salah if he tried.

Footage filmed from the stands shows Liverpool taking a throw-in and Rudiger literally clinging on to his former Roma teammate.

Not a single Chelsea defender besides Rudiger who has the audacity or the know-how to do this to the league’s most lethal weapon, Salah.

Chelsea FC please find the solution for Rudiger’s contract. I beg 🙏 pic.twitter.com/gc0Rm7KDEU

Salah has a couple of looks at the linesman and Rudiger threw his arm out in disgust as he shouted at the official.

The ball then travelled past Salah and out of play.

Apart from the goal from Salah where Rudiger was covering different area, Rudiger kept Salah super quiet. It was great battle but definitely Rudi won https://t.co/hYoQV4hDtq

Rudiger and Salah did then share an embrace at the end of the game following a superb back and forth battle.

Chelsea's No.2 has quickly developed into one of the biggest s***houses in the Premier League and his bizarre antics regularly catch the eye.

Earlier this season he celebrated winning a penalty with a frightening tongue-wagging celebration.

On Sunday, he cheekily undid the gloves of Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher in an attempt to give his team a little advantage.

Rudiger is just must see TV.

How he has become one of my favourites only god knows ! pic.twitter.com/H3uJJibI3h

Marcos Alonso was about to deliver an inswinging corner when, Rudiger, a lover of the dark arts, trotted over to Kelleher.

In a clip that went viral, the Irishman complained to the referee and was seen strapping his gloves back up again.
