England forward Alessia Russo scored a stunning back-heel goal against Sweden to help the Lionesses reach the final of Euro 2022.

Russo was brought off the bench with England already leading the match 2-0 thanks to goals from Beth Mead and Lucy Bronze.

The Manchester United striker made an immediate impact, almost setting up Lauren Hemp with her first contribution of the match.

Another look at that Alessia Russo goal? Oh, go on then. 😍

And just minutes later she scored arguably the goal of the tournament.

After seeing her initial shot well saved by Hedvig Lindahl, Russo recollected the ball and back-heeled a superb finish through the Sweden goalkeeper's legs.

Fran Kirby added a fourth for England minutes later, forcing a mistake out of Lindahl with a chipped effort.

But it was Russo's goal, her fourth of the tournament, that had England fans talking on social media.

"The most amazing goal from Russo," wrote one supporter on Twitter.

Another added: "Give Russo goal of the year now."

A third wrote: "Alessia Russo take a bow what a finish."

The match eventually finished 4-0 with England progressing to Sunday's final at Wembley.

They will face either Germany or France, who meet in the second semi-final on Wednesday.
