Arsenal will rival Chelsea and Newcastle for Adrien Rabiot, according to a report.

Arsenal will rival Chelsea and Newcastle for Adrien Rabiot, according to a fresh report.

Rabiot has looked a man reborn during France’s World Cup campaign, in the absence of Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kante.

The 27-year-old has been described as “a complete midfielder” who adds much-needed “balance” to the team by Les Bleus manager Didier Deschamps.

Rabiot had also been in scintillating club form for Juventus prior to the World Cup, recording five goals in 16 games this term, compared to five goals in 92 games over the previous two years in Turin.

The player’s resurgence in form comes just months after he rejected a move to Old Trafford. The France international had been in negotiations with United last summer after Juventus agreed to a reported £15.2million transfer fee.

However, the proposed move subsequently collapsed over Rabiot’s hefty wage demands.

United have seemingly missed out, with a revitalised Rabiot having now been linked to a host of other Premier League clubs.

Rabiot to Arsenal?

According to Calciomercato, Rabiot could depart Turin in January if Juventus receive an offer for the player.

Newcastle United have reportedly expressed serious interest in the France star, and are preparing to make a lucrative offer next month in the hope of beating out their competition.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Chelsea are also said to be keen, though the London rivals are both thought to be angling for a summer move when the Frenchman will be a free agent.

However, Calciomercato claims that ongoing legal issues at Juventus may push the club to cut costs in the January transfer window.

Last month the entire Juventus board, including president Andrea Agnelli, resigned.

A year earlier, the Serie A club said they were cooperating with police after an investigation was launched concerning the club’s "revenues from player registration rights" between 2019 and 2021.

The club has denied any wrongdoing.
