Red Bull will reportedly make a driver change ahead of next weekend's British Grand Prix.

After a short break on the back of the Canadian Grand Prix, Formula 1 will return this weekend in Spielberg, Austria.

Ahead of the race, it has been confirmed that Ferrari and McLaren have made changes to their driver line-ups.

Charles Leclerc will be replaced by Dino Beganovic for the first practice session of the Grand Prix weekend.

Meanwhile, McLaren will put young Irishman Alex Dunne in Lando Norris' car for FP1.

It is mandatory that F1 teams allow their rookies to take part in four FP1 sessions during the course of a season.

Now, it has been reported that Red Bull will also introduce a young rookie, but at next weekend's British Grand Prix.

The team's senior advisor, Helmut Marko, has claimed that 17-year-old Arvid Lindblad will drive for Red Bull in FP1 at Silverstone.

Speaking to Kleine Zeitung, Marko said: "He spent half a day in the car on Monday in Italy to prepare. And he'll also be in the car for Friday's practice at Silverstone.

"He stands out for his mental strength and self-confidence; his Swedish-Indian mix is clearly very good for motorsport."

It has not been confirmed whether Lindblad will replace Max Verstappen or Yuki Tsunoda.

Lindblad, 17, was recently granted a superlicense after Red Bull made a special request to the sport's governing body, the FIA.

As per Motorsport, Lindblad has become the first driver since Verstappen to be handed a superlicense before turning 18.

Verstappen became the youngest driver to take part in F1 after being handed his Toro Rosso debut at the age of just 17 years, 5 months and 13 days.

Marko said of Lindblad recently: "With Lindblad, we are developing someone who is also very strong mentally. Now we have two reserve drivers. Previously, Iwasa was the only one, and he also has races in Japan that overlap with Formula 1."
