Red Bull Set for Driver Change After Mexican Grand Prix

Further changes could be on the horizon for Red Bull Racing.

Red Bull Racing are reportedly set to make a driver change after the Mexican Grand Prix.

Over the years, Red Bull have built up a reputation for being ruthless when it comes to driver changes.

While Max Verstappen's seat is the safest in the house, the likes of Alexander Albon, Pierre Gasly and Sergio Perez have all been axed after producing below-par performances.

At the start of the 2025 campaign, Liam Lawson was tasked with keeping up with Verstappen in the second Red Bull car.

However, the New Zealander was replaced after just two races, with Yuki Tsunoda getting the nod next to Verstappen and Lawson was demoted back to sister team, Visa Cash App Racing Bulls.

Since taking over from Lawson, Tsunoda has also failed to impress, and the Japanese's future has been questioned on multiple occasions.

Meanwhile, at Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, rookie Isack Hadjar has impressed immensely.

As a result, the young Frenchman has been tipped to become Verstappen's teammate next season.

According to AutoSport, it is understood that Hadjar is expected to move to Red Bull next season, with a decision set to be taken after the Mexican Grand Prix later this month.

What has Isack Hadjar said about driving for Red Bull?

Speaking previously, Hadjar confirmed that his ultimate goal is to drive for Red Bull.

He said: "The goal has always been to be a Red Bull driver since I signed with Red Bull, with the Red Bull Junior Team, so I think it is quite clear.

"It [driver decisions] has always been decided, at least for me, at the very end of the season. I think it makes sense, because there are eight races to go, so I need to keep pushing."

Formula 1 will return next weekend with the United States Grand Prix, taking place around the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
