McLaren star Oscar Piastri's Brazilian Grand Prix weekend has gone from bad to worse.
After a drastic dip in form, Piastri headed into the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend trailing teammate Lando Norris by one point in the world championship standings.
The Australian was hoping for a better weekend with two chances to score points and regain control of the title race.
However, Piastri crashed out during the sprint race and to make matters worse, Norris won, extending his lead to nine points before the Grand Prix.

On Sunday, Piastri was handed a 10-second penalty for causing a collision, which sent Kimi Antonelli into Charles Leclerc, resulting in the latter's retirement due to suspension damage.
Eventually, Piastri finished in fifth place and now trails Norris by 24 points after the Brit took victory ahead of Antonelli and Max Verstappen.

Following the race, it has been claimed that Piastri's dip in form has forced one of his sponsors to take drastic action.

As reported by NINE, popular Australian burger chain Grill'd originally had a promotion for members to receive a free burger every time Piastri finished on the podium.
However, it has been suggested that the promotion has now been changed to a free treat when Piastri finishes a race.
On their official website, Grill'd stated: "Members will be offered a buy one, get one free coupon when Oscar Piastri finishes a Grand Prix race.
"Offer only available for redemption on the Monday following the race and from the time a member signs up. Coupons will not retrospectively applied for prior podium places for new Relish member sign ups."

As per the Daily Mail, American motosport commentator Taylor Kitchen said: "He's fallen out of the championship lead and on Saturday Grill'd posted the promo with updated rules.
"Now all Oscar has to do to unlock the burger deal is race, that's it. Which is probably a good thing, because there was no podium for Piastri in Brazil. Those burgers are ready to be cooked - and so might Piastri's championship hopes as the gap to his teammate continues to grow."
