Images of a brand new F1 track set to be added to the calendar in 2027 have been revealed, and it's absolutely stunning.

In recent years, Formula One fans have been treated to several exciting new tracks being added to the race calendar, including the popular Las Vegas Grand Prix.

For the ongoing 2025 season, all 24 race locations remained the same as last year, with only the order of each of the race weekends changed.

But fans can already look forward to a huge shakeup coming to the race calendar in 2027, as the first images of a breathtaking new track being built in Saudi Arabia have been revealed.

As it stands, there is already one grand prix that takes place in Saudi Arabia at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, but with three races taking place annually in the United States, in Texas, Miami and Las Vegas, the sport is clearly happy to return to the same country several times in a season.

And it would appear that it will be doing just this when work on the new Qiddiya's Speed Park finishes, and fans have been treated to a first look, showing off the video game-like sections of circuit.

Computer-generated images resemble the iconic Rainbow Road from Mario Kart as 21 corners it go through a resort made up of rollercoasters and underneath suspended swimming pools.

The main attraction on the track - designed by Hermann Tilke and former F1 driver Alex Wurz - will be at Turn 1, nicknamed 'The Blade,' as the track rises 70 metres above a dedicated space built for concerts during the race weekend.

Initially, Saudi Arabia had intended for the new development to replace the current street circuit in Jeddah, but officials have reportedly claimed that that the government is open to hosting two F1 rounds per season.

Reacting to the images of the exciting new track, Formula One great Fernando Alonso wrote on social media: "The proposed new circuit at Qiddiya City looks set to be one of the most impressive facilities for motorsports worldwide."

In total, the complex is planned to feature 12 theme parks, a water park, golf courses, hotels, a new football stadium and a “gaming and esports district.”

It is estimated that it will $480m to build the circuit alone and it is not expected to be fully completed until 2027 at the earliest.
