Las Vegas is the perfect place for Formula 1 in 2024 and Heineken 0.0 demonstrates exactly why

The 2024 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix was a monumental success, as F1 hit the streets of Sin City for the second time in front of sold-out grandstands.

Although Max Verstappen made history by winning his fourth consecutive world championship, it was George Russell who lit up the Vegas strip, as the Brit converted his pole position to race victory in dominant style.

Verstappen came home in fifth place after falling behind the two Ferrari's, but the Dutchman ensured he was ahead of Lando Norris to finally end the title battle for good.

When Vegas was originally put on the calendar there were questions over whether the city would work as a home for F1, but with two races under its belt, it's fair to say the doubters have been silenced.

I was invited to the historic Grand Prix by Heineken to get the full experience, which included exclusive access to the incredible Heineken hospitality suite and much more.

The vibe in Vegas perfectly suits the motorsport circus we call Formula 1, and there aren't many better places to enjoy the action than the entertainment capital of the world.

Formula 1 is embarking on a new era, with fashion, lifestyle, and culture all noticeably key factors in the overall experience making Heineken 0.0 the perfect beverage to enjoy trackside.

Races such as Las Vegas have become major cultural events that attract major celebrities and fashion icons who are far more likely to live a modern, health-conscious lifestyle.

Non-alcoholic beer sales have shot up by 19.9% in the last year, and Heineken 0.0 is the confident choice for those who want to kick back and relax, but remain sharp and present in the moment.

The Heineken experience included an incredible helicopter ride during practice three, giving me the best seat in the house to watch the world champion fly down the Las Vegas strip at over 200mph.

Speaking exclusively to SPORTbible thanks to Heineken, Max Verstappen explained exactly what it's like to race on one of the most famous miles of tarmac in the world.

"Of course, we go very fast on the strip, but you do see all the hotels and the lights and it's something I thought was never possible to pull off," Verstappen explained.

"When you drive there you get a bit of the scenery and it's pretty special."

The Las Vegas GP has one more year on its initial contract, but with plans in place to potentially extend to 10 years it's hard to see F1 wanting to leave the famous streets anytime soon.

The Heineken experience demonstrated exactly why Las Vegas is the perfect base for Formula 1 in the US, from crazy helicopter rides and pitstop views to enjoying an ice-cold Heineken 0.0 trackside. It all made perfect sense.
