
Today's NLS race featuring Max Verstappen at the Nurburgring has been "suspended until further notice" following a serious accident.
Saturday's race was only on lap two when the four-hour race was red-flagged by officials due to an accident at the Steilstrecke section of the infamous Nordschleife circuit.
Officials have stated that the pile-up involves seven cars, with a statement confirming rescue operations are underway for those involved.
A statement from the Nurburgring's official account reads: "A total of seven vehicles were involved in the multi-vehicle collision in the Klostertal area.

"Rescue operations for several injured drivers are currently in full swing. We will provide further updates from Race Control as soon as more information becomes available."
Max Verstappen's teammate Lucas Auer was in the car at the time, running in ninth after the Mercedes powered team were handed a three-place grid penalty.
As it stands it is unclear if the NLS4 race will restart, with a second race involving the same teams and drivers scheduled for Sunday.
