Lewis Hamilton has spoken out about reports linking Christian Horner with Ferrari again.

This weekend, the 2025 Formula 1 season will continue with the United States Grand Prix, taking place around the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

Leading into the race weekend, the dominant subject in the sport has been Horner's future.

After being replaced by Red Bull Racing in July, Horner has now officially left the organisation, having reached a hefty settlement.

Last week, it was reported that Ferrari president John Elkann is 'apparently really focused on securing Christian Horner's place' as team principal - despite recently agreeing a contract extension with current boss Frederic Vasseur.

On Thursday, Ferrari star and seven-time F1 world champion Hamilton was asked about the noise surrounding Horner.

The Brit stated that all the talks have been 'distracting' and pledged his support for current team boss Vasseur.

Hamilton said: "I don't know where the rumours have come from so I can't really shed much light on that. But it's a little bit distracting for us as a team. The team has made it clear where they stand in terms of re-signing Fred.

"Fred and I and the whole team are working really hard on the future for the team. These things naturally aren't helpful."

He continued: "I know everybody back at the factory is working incredibly hard, focused, and these sorts of rumours can sometimes be distracting.

"For me, it's about trying to keep the focus on the goal that's in front of us and building on next year's car. Really continuing to build a foundation on this year so that next year we can have better execution and better overall performance.

"As I said back in Spa, just having lots of meetings trying to make sure we're sailing in the right direction."

As things stand, it has been suggested that Vasseur still has the support of Ferrari chairman Elkann.

In addition, it has been claimed that Horner is not able to take up a new job until next April, thanks to the terms of his Red Bull departure.
