Reigning world champion Max Verstappen had an afternoon to forget as he only managed to put his Red Bull in sixth place.

Meanwhile, Ferrari star Leclerc qualified in eighth place, with Hamilton in 11th after being knocked out of SQ2.
The 40-year-old failed to make it to the line in time and was left shaking his head in the cockpit as he drove back towards the pit lane.
On his team radio, Hamilton was heard saying: "Yeah, every time, mate."

To add salt to Hamilton's wounds, it has been stated that Hamilton is now under investigation for a potential yellow flag infringement.
As per Sky Sports, Hamilton will be investigated after an alleged yellow flag infringement when passing Leclerc's spun Ferrari at the end of SQ2.
The Monegasque lost control of his Ferrari car towards the final part of the lap, with Hamilton on a preparation lap before a final flying lap. However, Hamilton failed to make it before the chequered flag came out.
An official document from the sport's governing body, the FIA, stated: "Alleged breach of Appendix H, Article 2.5.5 b) of the International Sporting Code, Article 26. 1b 2025 FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations.- Failing to slow under double-waved yellow flags at 15:58."
Hamilton and a Ferrari representative have been summoned to the stewards at 16:45 local time (19:45) UK time.
Speaking after the session, Hamilton was asked whether the yellow flags impacted his last lap.
He said: "Yeah, it definitely didn't help, but... aii aii ai... It's not for the lack of trying. We seemed like we were... The team thought we were a lot faster than we are.
"We gave it everything and that's ultimately what matters most, we were just not quick enough."
