Lando Norris made an honest admission when asked if he had messaged Oscar Piastri since the conclusion of their Formula 1 title fight.
Norris ascended to the top of motorsports last weekend by winning his first F1 world title.
The Brit managed to hold off Max Verstappen's charge and ended up finishing two points ahead of the Dutchman.
Meanwhile, Norris' McLaren teammate, Piastri, was left disappointed as he let a healthy lead slip to ultimately finish third.

Back in the summer, Piastri looked nailed on to win the title as he held a lead of more than 100 points over Verstappen.
Speaking recently to Sky Sports, Norris was asked whether he had contacted Piastri since Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Reporter Craig Slater asked: "Oscar, I mean, it's been a great battle all year with him. I don't know if you've heard from him since.
"Maybe give him a little bit of space? It'll be tough for him to come to terms with all of this."

In response, Norris said: "It's one of those things - you don't really know what to do. I feel bad, I want to give him a hug.
"I want to acknowledge, I want to give him the respect he deserves. I'm sure everyone does on the outside, give him the respect that he deserves, but I also want to do it, and I think it's always quite a difficult position to be in."
He continued: "I know what he's achieved this year, and how hard it's been on both sides. I just know there are going to be plenty more times where we're going to have more of these battles. He comes out on top some of the time, I try and come out on top some of the time.
"Yeah, I've enjoyed it, I think and I hope he has enjoyed a lot of it. I was pretty disappointed last year that I finished second. We all want to win."
Piastri opens up on Norris 'tension' after Abu Dhabi GP
When quizzed on his relationship with Norris, Piastri said: "Obviously, it's not easy fighting for the Constructors' Championship and the Drivers' Championship with two very evenly matched drivers. Ultimately, that's a problem we knew we were going to have.
"At the end of the day, there are a lot of good things that come from that, there are difficult moments and tension at times, but I think both Lando and I have become better drivers from pushing each other to the limit. Sometimes that's been uncomfortable for everyone, but ultimately, it's been a good thing."
