The official lap times from day one of testing in Barcelona ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season have been leaked.

With the new season starting with the Australian Grand Prix in March, teams are starting to step up their preparations.

This week, teams will undergo private testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya ahead of F1's official testing sessions in Bahrain next month.

However, it was confirmed last week that Williams would miss the entire testing week in Barcelona. While McLaren, Ferrari and Aston Martin opted to sit out the first day.

Williams' team statement read: "Atlassian Williams F1 Team has taken the decision not to participate in next week's shakedown test in Barcelona following delays in the FW48 programme as we continue to push for maximum car performance.

Throughout the first day of action in Barcelona, footage and lap times have been leaked on social media.

There were also three reported red flag incidents, with the likes of Colapinto, Gabriel Bortoleto and Liam Lawson stopping on track and putting a halt to the session.

In the afternoon session the data feeds were cut off, meaning access to live timing was no longer available.

It has since been clarified that the lap times are handled by the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and released upon agreeing with the teams involved. F1 did not cut live feeds as they did not organise the private tests in Spain.

Journalists at the circuit were allegedly warned of potential fines, with one witness claiming 'secret police' were enforcing the strict secrecy of the test.

They wrote on X: " We set up at 600 meters and they still kicked us out too, two secret service cars, one Mossos pickup and a Mossos van.

"They ID'd some poor lambs who had just arrived and warned them that if they came back it would mean a fine."

Despite this, unofficial lap times from the conclusion of day one have still been leaked online.

As per Soy Motor, Haas driver Esteban Ocon completed the most laps in the session, having clocked over 150.

Meanwhile, the fastest time of the session was set by Red Bull's Isack Hadjar, who did a 1:18.159.
