Christian Horner could make a big-name signing amid reports linking him with a stunning return to Formula 1.
Horner, 52, was removed as Red Bull Racing team principal and CEO following the British Grand Prix back in July.
The Brit was swiftly replaced by Laurent Mekies, who was promoted from sister team Visa Cash App Racing Bulls.
Since Mekies took over, Red Bull have experienced an upturn in form as Max Verstappen is right back in the world title fight with two races left this season.

Heading into the Qatar Grand Prix this weekend, Verstappen trails Lando Norris by just 24 points.
Following the conclusion of last weekend's Las Vegas Grand Prix, news emerged linking Horner with a sensational return to F1.
According to the BBC, Horner is in the running to replace Andy Cowell as Aston Martin's chief executive officer.
It has been claimed that 'Lawrence Stroll is poised to act after disagreements between Cowell and the team's new managing technical partner, Adrian Newey'.

In response, a spokesperson for Aston Martin told the BBC: "The team will not be engaging in rumour or speculation. The focus is on maximising performance in the remaining races and preparing for 2026."
Amid Horner being linked with Aston Martin, a fellow big name within the F1 world has also been tipped to make a move to join the Silverstone-based outfit.
As per F1 Oversteer, Ferrari star Charles Leclerc and his representatives have reportedly been contacted by Aston Martin over a potential move ahead of the 2027 season.
Italian journalist Leo Turrini said: "That Nicolas Todt has been repeatedly contacted recently by Aston Martin executives is certainly no surprise. The son of Jean Todt is, among other things, also Charles Leclerc’s manager.

"And a good manager has the duty, not just the right, to evaluate every option in the best interests of his client. After all, Aston Martin, with Stroll Senior trying to sell the production car company but apparently with no intention of abandoning the team, which will have an Adrian Newey-designed car, a Honda engine from 2026, and still in 2027, because that is the key date we are talking about."
So far, it has been confirmed that Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso will drive for Aston Martin during the 2026 season.
SPORTbible has contacted Aston Martin for comment.
