World Matchplay prize money 2026: How much Luke Littler actually won after dominant win

Luke Littler's prize money for winning the World Matchplay Darts final has been revealed.

On Sunday night, defending champion Littler arrived in the Empress Ballroom at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool to defend his World Matchplay title from Gerwyn Price.

Heading into the match it was widely expected that Littler would once again take home the Phil Taylor Trophy given his dominance in the sport in recent history.

But not many would have expected just how easy the 19-year-old made it look as he comfortably brushed aside Price to win the final 18-9.

The result further reaffirms Littler's place as the best in the world right now and adds yet another trophy to bolster his argument in the greatest of all time debate.

Of course, the win in Blackpool also saw Littler take home another big pay day, with the prize pot for the 2026 World Matchplay increased to its largest sum yet.

For this year's competition, the the prize money has increased by £200,000 from £800,000 last year up to a huge £1m in 2026.

As the winner of the Phil Taylor Trophy, Littler will take home £225,000 in prize money, an increase of £25,000 from last year.

Meanwhile Price, as the runner-up this year, takes home £100,000 less, with winnings of £125,000.

Luke Littler breaks record for highest career earnings in PDC history

Despite being just 19-years-old, Littler is one of just five darts players in history to have completed a career triple crown -- winning the PDC World Darts Championship, World Matchplay and Premier League.

And, following his win over price in the 2026 World Matchplay final, he's now won each of the events twice.

Add to this the fact that Littler's won dozens of other titles in both televises and non-televised events, and it's no surprise that he's earned a serious amount of money in his career so far.

Following his World Matchplay semi-final demolition of Dirk van Duijvenbode, Littler became the first player in PDC history to hit £3million in prize money.

Having beaten Price in the final, Littler's total career earnings have now risen to £3,143,500 in total.

Amazingly, the Englishman has also established a massive £2m gap between himself and Luke Humphries, who is the world No 2.

Of course, it's not just prize money that Littler has earned throughout his already storied career, with the young sensation also making some serious money through sponsorship deals.

Most notably back in January, Littler signed the largest sponsorship agreement in the history of darts, penning a 10-year deal with equipment manufacturer Target Darts believed to be worth a whopping £20m.
