Darts player Scott Williams has recalled trying one of the most popular sports at this year's Winter Olympics during a recent visit to Switzerland – and it sounds painful, to say the least.
Williams, who is currently ranked 44th in the PDC Order of Merit, has been in Zurich to attend an exhibition event alongside fellow players Stefan Bellmont and Ricky Evans.
“We’re over here, it’s an absolutely delightful venue with delightful players," he said.
The 36-year-old has been working hard ahead of this week's Players Championship tournaments, although his routine has been somewhat hampered after trying another far more demanding and painful sport.
Williams decided to try curling for the first time, an event that has made headlines in recent days following an incident at the Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.
For those unaware, Sweden's men's team accused Canadian curlers of double-touching stones during their round-robin match on Friday.

Anyway, Williams has spoken about his decision to play curling for the first time, and he didn't spare any details.
"Yesterday I experienced curling for the first time. Not hair curling, obviously — my hair is not long enough for that. But curling that is going on in the Winter Olympics right now," he said on his TikTok.
"As a large human being — a six-foot-four, without-the-heels-on human being —do not do it. Do not curl. Do not do curling. Do not get stones. Don’t even think about it because it is the most ridiculous sport."
“It’s the most painful sport I have ever experienced in my life and I don’t wish it upon anyone," added Williams. "My legs hurt. My neck hurts. My penis hurts — that’s probably because I caught it in the zipper. But that’s a different story. Don’t curl.”
In terms of his form on the oche, Williams won both of his opening games at the Players Championships 1 and 2 last week, but failed to get past the second round in either tournament.
