However, on Tuesday morning, it was reported that one athlete taking part in the Games had been sent home.
As reported by The Sun, French ice hockey star Pierre Crinon has been told to pack his bags after an incident against Canada.
It is believed that Crinon clashed with Canadian player Tom Wilson, who plays for the NHL side Washington Capitals.
Despite the Winter Olympics rules banning fighting on the ice, the pair were set to go at it.

However, before punches were thrown, Crinon shoved Wilson onto the ground; it was said that the incident was caused by the Frenchman striking Nathan MacKinnon with an elbow.
Both Crinon and Wilson were told to leave the the ice immediately but it has been stated that France have taken things further by sending their player home.
A statement read: "The FFHG intends to remind everyone of the values of every player wearing the French national team jersey, as well as their duty to set an example, particularly during the Olympic Games.
"Therefore, Pierre Cronin’s behaviour upon leaving the ice, even though he had just been ejected from the game for fighting, constitutes a clear violation of the Olympic spirit and also undermines the values of our sport."
The statement continued: "Consequently, a decision has been made not to allow his participation in the upcoming Olympic tournament games."
In the end, Canada beat France by a score of 10-2.
