Luke Littler’s participation in the upcoming Flanders Darts Trophy is in doubt after the teenager underwent emergency dental surgery.
Littler, 18, is scheduled to return to European Tour action for the first time since April at the Flanders Darts Trophy in Antwerp, Belgium, on Saturday.
The teenager is due to face Ireland's Dylan Slevin or Belgium's Francois Schweyen.
However, several popular players such as Luke Humphries, Nathan Aspinall and Gary Anderson have decided against competing in the competition.

The second round will then begin on Saturday (August 30), before the last 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final take place on Sunday (August 31).
But Littler’s participation in the event may be in jeopardy as the Englishman underwent emergency dental surgery on Thursday (August 28).

The teenager had a tooth removed at a dental practice in Manchester, having earlier been "in pain for hours and hours".
During the early hours of Friday morning, Littler took to social media to provide an update.
Littler wrote: "In pain for hours and hours, so had to get a tooth out. Luckily, they were able to do it and sort me out, but hopefully it's all good for Saturday.
"Everyone knows I love Belgium and hopefully I can play my best darts."

He then issued a warning to fans who might see and approach him following the ordeal.
"I don't know how I'm going to be feeling in the morning or whether I'm gonna be in a little bit of pain," he explained.
"But if you see me in airport, I'm just gonna have my AirPods in and I'm gonna be doing my own thing.

"So don't be saying I'm arrogant because I'm not, I've never had this done, and I don't know how I'm gonna be feeling, but right now.
"But right now I'm in shock and shaken as I didn't know what to expect."
Littler was also quick to thank he staff at Night and Day Emergency Dentist as well as telling his girlfriend Faith, “I love you”.
In 2024, the then-17-year-old Littler was beaten in the Flanders Darts Trophy third round by Dirk van Duijvenbode.
