Luke Littler has reacted to the viral online debate about him facing Mo Farah in a half-marathon with a specific set of rules.

Around 59,000 people took part in one of the biggest sporting events of the year on Sunday as hundreds of thousands showed up to support them in the London marathon.

With anybody able to sign up to take part, several well-known faces in sports were seen running the London marathon, including four-time Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel and former Arsenal and Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey

Since the race finished, fans have been wondering how other big sports stars may get on in a big race, with one idea involving a head-to-head between Olympic legend Farah and darts superstar Littler.

Of course, in a normal race Farah, who has won four Olympic gold medals for long-distance running, would comfortably beat Littler without a shadow of a doubt.

But this isn't just any normal race, as the proposed half-marathon would see both men have to stop and complete a 501 checkout at each mile of the 13.1 mile contest.

So essentially, the race comes down to how well you rate Farah's ability to check out 501 and if the regular stops would be enough to let Littler catch up to the Olympian.

And it appears that Littler backs himself, as British boxer Dave Allen shared a message exchange with the 19-year-old asking about the viral debate.

"Sick of seeing this," Littler joked.

"Don't think Mo could take out 501. Tbh I'd walk it after my first 501."

Allen later shared that he had sent the same question to Farah, but was yet to receive a response.

Giving his thoughts on the hypothetical contest, Allen added: "This is probably the best question I've been asked in my entire life.

"Mo Farah, maybe a 4.15/4.20 mile average, Luke Littler 12,13,14 minutes. Could Mo Farah take a 501 out in eight minutes, 13 times on the bounce?

"It'll all come down to the doubles because you can chip away at that 501 no problem."

Although Allen himself didn't commit to picking one man to win the race, the comments on the video showed exactly how tough a call it is to make, with fans making passionate arguments for both Littler and Farah.

One wrote: "Littler by a country mile. He could walk it in about three and a half hours. Mo would still be throwing at double one on the fifth mile at that point, head completely gone, probably crying."

While another claimed: "Can’t see littler going 13 miles without walking it. No way is he going to run 12 min miles for 13 miles. Mo would have a lot more time that. Still comes down to the doubles but he would have all day to hit them."

Who do you think would win the race? Let us know in the comments.
