Darts star Luke Humphries once revealed the amount of money players can earn from sponsorship deals alone before even throwing a dart in matches and the prize funds they are awarded.
Humphries is one of the top darts players on the planet and is currently ranked as second in the PDC World Rankings only behind number one Luke Littler.
The 28-year-old won the 2024 PDC World Championship, beating Littler in the process on that particular occasion.
Humphries is currently taking part in the 2026 edition of the tournament at the Alexandra Palace in London and faces Ted Evetts in his first round match on Saturday evening.

Humphries won the PDC World Masters in the 2025 year of tournaments, as well as Premier League Darts.
The overall prize fund for the 2026 World Championship stands at a cool £5m, with £1m of that to go to the eventual winner, the latter of which was a doubling of the winner's share.
This year's runner-up will receive £400,000, with the two defeated semi-finalists awarded £200,000 and four losing quarter-finalists receiving £100,000 a piece.
Losers in the fourth round will get £60,000, with those going out in the third round receiving £35,000.
Those exiting the competition at the second round will get £25,000, with players who fall at the first hurdle and are defeated in the opening round still getting £15,000 prize money.
Stars who manage a nine-dart finish will also receive a cool £60,000 on top of this, adding an extra incentive for players to perform.

But away from the prize money, Humphries last year revealed how much darts players can make just from sponsorship alone and the brands that appear on their shirts.
Speaking on the 'Happy Hour' podcast in December 2024, Humphries revealed how top stars can earn extra revenue through sponsorship deals - dating back to when he first started competing on the PDC circuit back in 2018.
He said: "They're paying you like, them days, five, 10 grand for each sponsor. You're kind of getting £30-40,000 on your shirt before you've even thrown a dart!
"This was like, seven years ago. That's already a year's salary, without winning anything.
"That's comfortability. Whereas now it's ridiculous. It's silly money. When you see that half a million going from the worlds, that is like, 'Woah!'"
Humphries himself has certainly done well in terms of prize money in recent years, with the PDC World Rankings being based upon the amount won by players across a two-year period in ranking tournaments.
At present, Humphries' total stands at £1,572,000, while Littler's total is £1,970,500.
