A new angle has shown what umpire Kumar Dharmasena told India players immediately after Prasidh Krishna's heated exchange with England batter Joe Root at The Oval.
Krishna and Root were involved in a furious row midway through England's first innings on day two, with Root having recently arrived at the crease.
He played and missed at his fifth ball outside off-stump, with Krishna aiming some choice words in his direction.

England's greatest-ever batter then guided the very next ball through the slips for four runs to open his account, which appeared to infuriate Krishna further.
What was said by the India bowler clearly riled Root, who couldn't resist an animated response towards the India seamer.

Krishna cleared up the incident as 'just banter' in his interview after the close of play, while England batting coach Marcus Trescothick said it was 'nothing to worry about'.

But it was serious enough for umpire Dharmasena, a former Sri Lankan international spinner, to intervene and have words with members of the India team.
What happened after Root and Krishna row
Footage shown on Indian broadcasts shows Dharmasena in conversation with India vice-captain KL Rahul in the immediate aftermath of the Krishna and Root incident.
Rahul, who is the most experienced member of the India playing XI at The Oval, walked up to Dharmasena and demanded that he explained what the issue was.

The opening batter shouted: "What do you want us to do, keep quiet?"
In a partially inaudible section of the clip, Rahul appears to ask Dharmasena about his communication with the bowlers, with the rest of the clip as follows.
Dharmasena: "No. Okay, do you like it if a bowler comes and talks to you? No. You can't do that. No, Rahul, we should not go that way."
Rahul: "What do you want us to do? Just bat, bowl and go home?"

Dharmasena: "No. We'll discuss it after the match, okay?"

India ended day two on 75 for two in their second innings, with a lead of 52 runs, and extended that lead beyond 100 with the loss of no further wickets after the opening hour of day three.
What score is the England vs India series?
Both England and India are playing for the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, with England 2-1 up after four Test matches.
The fourth Test at Old Trafford was drawn after India batted out the entirety of the fifth and final day.
Parallels have been drawn between this series and the iconic 2005 Ashes, which also saw a draw at Old Trafford and a decisive Test at The Oval that saw England win 2-1.
After the final days of action in Surrey, England's next Test match is Down Under when they contest the 2025/26 Ashes series in Australia.
They have not won a Test series in Australia since 2011, with Joe Root most recently leading the side to a 4-0 defeat in 2021/22.
Root was replaced as captain by Stokes in the months after that loss, with the star all-rounder set to lead England in to one of the biggest series of modern times.
