A large proportion of the Manchester City squad will be in action at the FIFA World Cup this week.

The tournament begins on Sunday evening, when host nation Qatar face Ecuador at the Al Bayt Stadium.

16 Manchester City players were selected to represent their countries in the Middle East, as domestic football across Europe pauses for over a month.

The Sky Blues suffered a frustrating 2-1 loss to Brentford in their final Premier League match last weekend, as Ivan Toney scored twice at the Etihad Stadium.
