Manchester City take on AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League this afternoon.

Pep Guardiola's side are looking to kickstart their title defence with back-to-back, but come up against an exciting but stubborn Cherries outfit.

On match-day one, Erling Haaland stole the show with a magnificent brace.

The Norway international announced himself from the penalty spot in the first-half and with a cooly composed strike in the second-half, latching onto Kevin De Bruyne's through-ball.

City's all-round dominant display impressed fans and pundits alike and showed this new-look squad is hungry to achieve its goals.

The next task is Scott Parker's Bournemouth, who also won their opening game against Aston Villa at the Vitality Stadium.

City will be without Kalvin Phillips and Cole Palmer for this one, with Guardiola confirming in his pre-match press conference that they have picked up 'niggles' during the week.

He said: "Kalvin has some niggles and won't be able [to play]. Cole Palmer had a knock in his feet in the last days and is a doubt for tomorrow."

Aymeric Laporte remains a long-term absentee, as the Spaniard underwent knee surgery during the off-season.

Everyone is awaiting the home debut of Haaland, who started alongside Phil Foden and Jack Grealish against West Ham United.

There's no Phillips, but Julian Alvarez could also make his maiden Etihad birth.

Ahead of the crunch clash at the Etihad, Pep Guardiola and Scott Parker have named their respective line-ups.
