Issa Kabore's agent is understood to be holding talks over the defender's future at the City Football Academy on Wednesday morning.

Ahead of Manchester City's trip to the United States, the club are likely to sanction loan moves for rising academy stars for the new campaign.

With the competition for places fiercer than ever at the Etihad Stadium, the Premier League champions offer a chance for young talents to showcase their talents elsewhere to keep progressing and push for a first-team role.

Under Pep Guardiola, Phil Foden has been carefully integrated into a first-team player following his eye-catching rise through the academy ranks.

The likes of Cole Palmer and James McAtee are expected to get more senior minutes in the locker next season whilst Liam Delap is expected to head out on loan.

Pre-season often sees talented academy stars make their case for being kept in and around the first-team should they manage to catch the eyes of Pep Guardiola and his managerial staff.

Issa Kabore, who spent the previous campaign at ESTAC Troyes in France, has attracted interest from a number of clubs ahead of the new campaign.

The 21-year-old right-back made 31 appearances in Ligue 1 last term and displayed his attributes as an attacking full-back after spending the season prior on loan in Belgium.

Kabore's agent Revien Kanhai has recently dropped hints over the defender's future at the Etihad Stadium on Instagram.

The defender's agent is believed to be present at the City Football Academy to hold talks over his client's future next season.

As per Instagram, Kabore is set to head over to one of Manchester City's sister clubs under the City Football Group umbrella to continue his development.

Nottingham Forest are believed to be keen on acquiring the young defender's services next season following their promotion to the English top-flight.

With Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo sharing the load at right-back for the Premier League champions, a season-long loan to another English side could bode well for Kabore.
