Simulated Champions League last-16 draw: Manchester City and Liverpool handed nightmare ties, Chelsea and Tottenham find out fate

Ahead of the Champions League last-16 draw from the UEFA headquarters on Monday morning, we have simulated our own version of the process.

The last-16 of Europe's premier competition in the 2022/2023 season will once again feature Manchester City, in their search for Champions League glory for the first time in the club's history.

Ahead of the all-important draw on Monday morning, City Xtra have simulated proceedings for the last-16 draw of the Champions League, ahead of the real-life event itself at UEFA headquarters.

Our simulation featured heavyweight ties for all four of England's representative clubs in the competition, with the reigning Premier League champions Manchester City, as well as Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, arguably receiving the toughest draws.

When is the UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw?

The draw for the round of 16 will take place on Monday 7th November at 11am GMT from UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

How can I watch the UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw?

The draw will be broadcast live on BT Sport for viewers in the United Kingdom, while a live stream will also be available on the UEFA Champions League website and social media channels.

City Xtra will also have live updates across their Twitter, Instagram and Facebook pages.

The draw is scheduled to take place at 12:00 CET, which is 11am in the United Kingdom.

Proceedings will kick off at 3pm for fans in the UAE, and 4:30pm in India.

When are the round of 16 fixtures due to be played?

The first leg will take place in February 2023 on either 14th, 15th, 21st or 22nd.

The return fixtures will be played in March 2023 on either 7th, 8th, 14th or 15th.
