Tyson Fury will finally meet Anthony Joshua in the ring at the end of 2026 but it's not just his long-awaited opponent who has eyes on the Gypsy King.
Fury returned to the boxing fray in April, beating Russian fighter Arslanbek Makhmudov by unanimous decision at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The 37-year-old took a year out after back-to-back defeats by Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia in 2024.
While Joshua returns to action against Albanian heavyweight Kristian Prenga in July, his first fight since he defeated Jake Paul in December and the tragic car crash that followed a week later, Fury's next opponent remains unknown.

Promoter Frank Warren told the media that a tune-up fight is in the works, with reports suggesting a possible August date in advance of the now-signed Joshua bout.
One fighter who fancies a crack at the former four-time world champion is fellow Brit Dave Allen.
The 34-year-old, who has achieved 20 of his 25 professional wins by knockout and is a former WBA Intercontinental Heavyweight champion, is readying himself for a home-town bout against Filip Hrgovic at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday.
If he beats the Croatian, Allen wants Fury next.
"If I beat Hrgovic, Tyson Fury is getting called out," Allen told Sky Sports via Boxing247. "One hundred percent. Even if I lose to Hrgovic but put a good fight up, I want the Fury fight."
Fury was unbeaten before meeting Usyk and now holds a professional record of 35 wins and two losses, both by decision against the Ukrainian.
Dave Allen targets Fury fight before Joshua showpiece
Fury would be the overwhelming favourite if he and Warren were to book a fight against Allen this summer.
'The White Rhino' won the first 10 fights of his professional career before losing to Dillian White by unanimous decision in Leeds 10 years ago.
He has won 25 of his 35 fights, losing eight.
Allen started 2026 by stopping Karim Berredjem in Nottingham but was defeated by Makhmudov, who wanted Joshua but got Fury and now looks to be the odd man out as the two Englishmen meet.
Fury has big plans for next year, too. A third fight against Usyk appears to be a favoured path for both boxers and would be sure to draw a bumper payday to boot.
