Drake places eye-watering wager on the result of Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury

Drake has put his money where his mouth is for the Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury fight.

Canadian rapper Drake has placed a huge bet on the result of the Jake Paul and Tommy Fury fight this evening.

The five-time Grammy winner is no stranger to a hefty wager, having dropped huge stakes on a number of sporting events over the years, including losing £1.2m after Alex Pereira stunned Israel Adesanya at UFC 281.

It appears as though the big loss hasn't deterred the 36-year-old from the gambling scene, as he has once again put his money where his mouth is ahead of Jake Paul's clash with Tommy Fury this weekend.

Drake took to his Instagram account on Sunday morning to post a screenshot of his latest wager with Stake, and it's one that will raise a few eyebrows.

The rapper has placed a whopping $400,000 at odds of 3.60 for Jake Paul to defeat his opponent via knockout, a wager which would see Drake collect a cool $1,440,000 should it happen.

Paul will be hoping that the infamous 'Drake Curse' doesn't come into effect on the back of the wager,

The 'Drake Curse' is something of a meme in the sporting world, with the Canadian thought to be inflicting bad luck on whichever team or athlete he has interacted with.

The likes of Serena Williams, Jadon Sancho and Sergio Aguero have all suffered defeat in key matches after being pictured with the rap star.

It is not know whether 'The Problem Child' is prone to superstition, but if he is, he may be left uneasy after seeing the huge wager.

Drake isn't the only person to have staked big on the highly-anticipated fight. Tommy's big brother Tyson has also placed a big wager on the event. Unsurprisingly, he has a different outlook on how the fight will play out.

In an interview with iFL TV, Tyson Fury confirmed that he has placed "100 racks" on his brother winning via stoppage.

The two will settle their long standing feud on Sunday evening. Jake Paul has been made the slight favourite with the bookmakers heading into the fight.
