Anthony Joshua says he plans to break Jake Paul 'mentally' and 'spiritually' before beating him in their blockbuster clash.

Paul vs. Joshua headlines Friday's Netflix card from the Kaseya Center in Miami.

It's Paul's first appearance since his victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Joshua's first outing since his crushing knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois last year.

Ahead of their highly-anticipated showdown, Paul and Joshua sat down and spoke about their fight in a face-to-face interview.

The Brit claims he must beat the 28-year-old 'mentally' and insists he wants to take his upcoming opponent's 'soul in the ring'.

"I got to beat him mentally because he's a mental person," he began. "This is my observation. A lot of what Jake's preparation is based around is not only the physical aspect of training, but the way he thinks, meditation, breath work.

"If I can break his soul and I can break his mentality, then I've broken Jake. This is why it's going to be an interesting fight. It's not just physical. I got to take your soul in the ring."

To which Paul replied: "Only person that can do that is God."

Joshua responded: "I knew he was going to say that."

The host then weighed in, asking 'The Problem Child': "Is he f**king with your brain?"

Paul answered: "No. I don't know. That's what I was going to ask is how do you plan on doing that?"

Joshua added: "I've just seen in fights when I can see someone's, let's call it energy, frequency, leaving their body and that's what my goal is... is to do the same to you.

"You have that instinct. You can see it when you're fighting. You can just see a small glimmer of someone's that's just about to start fading and then you just keep exploiting that. Keep exploiting that until some people give up... some people get knocked out. We'll figure it out.

"I want to break him down spiritually and mentally."

After their sit-down emerged online, fans on social media reckon Paul is 'scared' and believe he has made a big mistake in agreeing to face Joshua.

One X user wrote: "I know Jake is scared asf," while a second predicted: "AJ is gonna do some SERIOUS damage to Jake. This is genuinely dangerous."

A third added: "The moment Jake Paul realised earning those millions could cost him his life."
