Tyson Fury has seemingly fired back at the criticism surrounding his daughter Venezuela getting engaged aged just 16.
Fury is widely considered to be one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, famously defeating Wladimir Klitschko back in 2015. Away from the ring, he is married to Paris Fury, and together the couple share seven children.
Over the weekend, Paris revealed on Instagram that their eldest daughter Venezuela is now engaged to her partner, Noah Prince. Paris Fury wrote: "Congratulations to @venezuelafuryofficial and @7noahprice on getting engaged.
"Both only young, but when you know, you know! Still in shock but very happy for you both. Me and your Dad couldn’t be prouder xxx."

The announcement has divided opinion, with many pointing out Venezuela's young age.

The average age of first marriages in the UK is around 31, compared to 23 back in 1970. Individuals choosing to pursue higher education, career goals and financial pressures have all been linked to the increase.
But Fury stepped in to defend his daughter, sharing a video on Instagram originally posted by minaret minds.

The narrator in the clip says: "50 years ago people got married at 18 and stayed together until death. Today people wait until 30 to get married and divorce within three years.
"Back then, couples had nothing but built everything together. Now couples have everything but can't build anything together. Our grandparents shared one small room and called it paradise. We have five bedroom houses and call them prisons.
"The only difference is we now call commitment settling and call running away finding yourself."

Fury and Paris also met young, when he was 17 and she was just 15.
They crossed paths again at Paris' 16th birthday party, and three years later they were married. Since then, the Fury's have renewed their vows on several occasions, most recently this summer in France.
The couple have seven children together, but Tyson has previously revealed that he would like to have 11 kids.
Family has always been central to the former heavyweight's life, which may explain why he was so quick to publicly defend his daughter's engagement.

The Minaret Minds video continued: "Who convinced us that love expires, that compatibility is instant, that marriage should feel like a Disney movie every day.
"If we question ourselves, we might stop expecting perfection and start building connection.
"I ask have we become on focused on finding the one that we forgot how to become the one."
