Tyson Fury has revealed the reason why he no longer follows football despite publicly showing support for Manchester United and England in the past.
Former two-time undisputed heavyweight champion Fury, 37, has been vocal about his support of United and the Three Lions previously and was even spotted among the travelling England supporters who attended matches in France during Euro 2016.
Not only did Fury make the trip from Morecambe to Nice, but he also did so via car rather than a much quicker two-hour flight.
"We drove 18 hours from Morecambe to get here, something like 1,300 miles,” Fury told the BBC at the time.

"It's all about showing our support for the lads."
The self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ has since been spotted cheering United on at Old Trafford on multiple occasions, although he has not been afraid to call out the players if he thinks they have underperformed.

Following United’s 4-0 defeat against Brighton at the Amex back in 2022, the now-retired heavyweight went on a furious rant via Instagram.

Fury said: “I tell you what, never mind the Gypsy King retiring. What you saying, United? Why don’t they f***ing retire?”
However, the 37-year-old has since returned to Old Trafford and was spotted alongside Sir Alex Ferguson during United’s 4-3 FA Cup quarter-final victory over Liverpool back in March 2024.
United went on to win the FA Cup that year but have since sacked Erik ten Hag and appointed Ruben Amorim as head coach, although the Portuguese has struggled to make a positive impact at Old Trafford.
Amorim, 40, has taken just 28 points from his 29 Premier League matches in charge, and Fury has seemingly seen enough.

Speaking to Racing TV at Cartmel Racecourse on Monday, the former world champion revealed why he no longer supports the Red Devils.
"I'm not a supporter of football really," he said. "I used to support United, but because they're in the s*** now, I'm no supporter of any football teams anymore.
"I used to support England as well, but when they lost to Iceland in the Euros in 2016, that was me and football completely done with. Now I'm into horse racing, get up!"
