Fans have criticised professional boxer Tommy Fury after it appeared that he shoved a fellow runner out of the way near the end of a Great North Run event.
Tommy, 26, like his brother Tyson, is an avid runner and fitness enthusiast. Despite not having a fight booked at the moment, the 26-year-old stays in shape through a combination of boxing, weight training and fitness challenges such as 10-kilometre runs.
The Manchester-born fighter, who boasts a professional record of 11-0, recently opened up about his struggles with “drinking quite a lot” during a time when he was nursing a hand injury, which kept him away from the ring.
The fighter also separated from his long-term partner, Molly-Mae Hague, back in August 2024, before the pair rekindled their romance in May 2025.

Fury, a 2019 Love Island contestant, recently took part in the T100 Triathlon World Tour on the French Riviera but was accused of ‘cheating’ by some fans due to him not completing the full 100km distance.
The race was made up of three elements: a 2km swim, 80km cycle and 18km run – although Tommy only managed 48km on the bike.
But there was an explanation.

A statement from the Professional Triathletes Organisation explained how Tommy was one of 93 competitors who were impacted by a road closure, stopping them from completing the bike course before the cut-off time.
And a week later, on Sunday (September 8), Fury took on another challenge at the Great North Run in Newcastle and South Shields.
The event, which is widely considered to be one of the largest half-marathon (21km) races in the country, saw 60,000 participants enter, including Fury.
The 26-year-old had earlier teased a ‘sprint finish’ on social media, and he delivered on his promise.
Fury could be seen sprinting towards the finish line during a video posted on social media, but some fans picked up on a slightly unsavoury moment where he appeared to push a fellow runner out of his way.
