A coroner has reportedly said she 'cannot be satisfied' that boxing legend Ricky Hatton intended to take his own life.
Back in September 2025, the sporting world was shocked by the tragic news that Hatton had passed away at the age of just 46.
The Englishman was found dead at his home in Greater Manchester on Bowlacre Road, Hyde, Tameside, on September 14, 2025.
During his boxing career, Hatton held multiple world championships and had a record of 48 fights, 45 wins and three losses. He was scheduled to return to the ring in December 2025.

As per the BBC, a pre-inquest review was informed that Hatton's 'provisional cause of death was hanging'.
A recent update from Alison Mutch, who was sitting for the full inquest at Manchester South Coroner's Court in Stockport, has stated that although she was 'satisfied that Hatton had carried out the acts which led to his death, [she] could not be sure he intended to take his own life'.
She said: "When I add everything together, I cannot be satisfied that he intended to take his own life at that point.
"Intent remains unclear. He was under the influence of alcohol and a post-mortem had shown signs of CTE (Brain damage called Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy)."

Hatton's son, Campbell, told the court: "He [Ricky] had made plans for the future which lead us to believe this [his death] wasn't premeditated."
The report stated that Hatton was due to fly to Dubai on September 14, but was found 'unresponsive' by his manager Paul Speak, who had arrived at the house to take the boxing legend to Manchester Airport.
It is believed that Speak found Hatton 'in the games room of his house, with a half-full glass of wine on the bar'.
According to a toxicology report, Hatton had 'more than twice the permitted drink-driving level of alcohol in his system'.
In addition, there was also evidence of previous cocaine usage but it has been stated that the usage was not in the hours before his death.
Hatton's former girlfriend, Jennifer Dooley, said that his death has left his daughters 'heartbroken'.
She said: "They are continuing to process what happened and are struggling with the finality of the situation."
