Joe Rogan names the wasted boxing talent who is now 'broke' in 'cautionary tale' to every fighter

Joe Rogan said it was a 'cautionary tale' to every fighter.

Joe Rogan named the wasted boxing talent who is now 'broke' in a 'cautionary tale' to every fighter.

Rogan was joined by 'Freeway' Rick Ross, who is an American author and former drug lord, in an episode of his podcast last year.

And they both touched on the sport of boxing and the discipline it requires to reach the top of the game.

In doing so, Ross name-dropped Adrien Broner, with Rogan bemoaning the boxer for wasting his talent.

The UFC commentator praised his 'incredible' skillset before claiming he 'f**ked off too much'.

"Adrien Broner is a cautionary tale because he was an incredibly talented young man. Very, very talented when he was young. But he f**ked off too much and he didn't say the path, didn't stay discipline," he explained.

"He had some losses. [Marcos] Maidana hurt him that was like the first one. There's a few different fights."

Ross then interrupted Rogan and accused Broner of being 'broke'.

Rogan added: "And if you're a healthy man when you hit 36 their body starts to decline but he's not healthy. He was fat just a little while ago.

"He started training with Gervonta [Davis]. He documented it... so he showed photos of when he this big belly, looked fat and out of shape and then leaned himself down to where he had a six pack again.

"You're just getting back in shape. These motherf**kers you're fighting have been shape for a decade.

"The difference between success and failure in the boxing game is fractions of a second."

Broner, now 35, won 27 fights before succumbing to Argentine slugger Maidana, who battered the previously-undefeated man.

He got his career back on track before losing to countryman Shawn Porter.

Damaging defeats to Mikey Garcia and Manny Pacquiao stunted his career.

Broner hasn't fought since his defeat to Blair Cobbs last June.
