The UFC expert is adamant that one non-MMA star would be a serious threat.

UFC commentator and popular podcast host Joe Rogan didn't hesitate when naming the one sports legend who could easily become champion.

Since the UFC was founded back in 1993, athletes from different forms of mixed martial arts and even other sports have stepped into the octagon to find out who is the very best in the world.

Perhaps most successfully, WWE superstar Brock Lesnar went on to become undisputed heavyweight champion when he moved over to the UFC, paving the way for other wrestlers to follow in his footsteps.

Even current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski famously enjoyed a successful career as a rugby league player before putting on the gloves for the first time.

But there is one current sports star who is yet to set foot in the octagon that UFC expert Rogan is convinced would dominate the organisation if he decided to make a run for the belt.

In a 2017 episode of his beloved podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC commentator revealed that, if he decided to train MMA, basketball legend LeBron James would be unbeatable.

“I don’t give a f*** what kind of steroids you take, you are never going to look like that," Rogan said about the NBA star.

"Never. There are human beings who have just the most unfathomable physical advantages.

"LeBron James would have an unfathomable physical advantage over someone who would have an unfathomable physical advantage over you.

“A guy like that, if he was fighting, everybody would be f***ed!

"They are lucky, they are God damn lucky there’s that much money in basketball and LeBron James got into it.”

Of course, not every athlete to join the UFC from another sport has enjoyed success, with the likes of current WWE star CM Punk suffering a submission loss to Micky Gall in his UFC debut before a no-contest with Kevin MacDonald.

However, Rogan is adamant that, not only would the four-time NBA champion be successful, but he could win a UFC title if he made the move to MMA.

He added: "And people go, ‘Well, you know what, man?

"'Some things that make a great-looking basketball player wouldn't necessarily make you a great fighter.

“Listen to me. Save it. That guy's going to beat your f*ing a**, he’s a winner.

"There’s certain level of winners that can just do whatever they want.”
