Netflix has a range of fixes for potential streaming issues during the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson event.

Some fans have complained of problems with the streaming service during the beginning of the Paul vs Tyson main card, which got underway at 1am UK time from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

There have been issues with low video quality, while some streams have also faced stuttering problems and prolonged buffering.

The issues are affecting users with a range of different subscriptions to Netflix, it appears.

Fortunately, the streaming giant does provide a series of potential fixes if you are having problems with the service, including a hidden feature that should help people with a 'premium' subscription on the upper end of the price scale.

Here are the list of fixes for each of the major individual devices:

Computers

  • Mac: Shut down your computer and wait 10 seconds before switching it back on.
  • Windows: Restart your computer, clear Netflix cookies from your browser and then re-load Netflix.

Streaming devices

  • Apple TV: Force close the Netflix app and restart your device, before then re-installing the Netflix app.
  • Cable/set-top box: Restart your device and your home network before re-loading the app.
  • Chromecast: Reset your settings by holding the button on your Chromecast device for 25 seconds/until the indicator light begins to flash.

Video game consoles

  • PlayStation 5: Check if your network can play Netflix, as mobile hotspots, cellular or satellite networks may not be able to run the platform to its maximum capabilities.
  • Xbox One: Uninstall the Netflix app by going to 'Manage App' -> 'Uninstall All' (twice) to confirm. Reinstall the Netflix app and select it once it has finished downloading before attempting to log in again.

For more details on other devices, check out Netflix's official website.

Alternatively, for those on the 'Premium' subscription with a 4K compatible TV, here is a way to improve your picture quality using a hidden feature implemented by Netflix.

How to watch Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson in 4K on Netflix

  • Sign in to Netflix on your computer, and go to https://www.netflix.com/title/80018499 on any web browser
  • Add the 'Multipurpose Chart 1920 x 1080: 60fps test pattern (S2: Episode 8) to your Netflix library, using the 'Add To My List' option (the pattern won't show unless you have the correct subscription)
  • Open the Netflix app on your compatible TV
  • Select the above test pattern in the 'My List' section
