Two UFC Legends In the Mix to Face Jake Paul as Statement Released

Jake Paul's team are considering replacing Gervonta Davis amid an investigation.

Two UFC legends are in the mix to replace Gervonta Davis as Jake Paul's team are considering a new fight amid an investigation.

Paul is still scheduled to face Davis on November 14 in an exhibition that will be streamed on Netflix.

But Paul vs. Davis is in serious doubt after a string of accusations including battery and kidnapping were launched by Davis' ex-girlfriend against the world champion boxer.

'Tank' was initially arrested in Miami in July with reports suggesting he was facing a battery charge.

New allegations have now surfaced, plunging his proposed bout into doubt.

On Saturday, Most Valuable Promotions issued a statement regarding the situation.

A statement read: "Most Valuable Promotions immediately initiated an investigation upon learning of the civil lawsuit filed against Gervonta Davis in Miami-Dade County on Oct. 30, 2025.

"At this time, we are gathering information and reviewing the details to ensure any decision we make is thoroughly vetted. We unequivocally condemn any form of violence and are committed to handling this matter with diligence and respect for all involved.

"We will make a determination on next steps once we have completed our review and consulted with the appropriate parties. Until then, we will not be commenting further."

According to Chris Mannix, 'The Problem Child' could scrap his November date and instead return in December if Davis is pulled.

Mike Coppinger also weighed in on Paul vs. Davis by revealing that Francis Ngannou and Nate Diaz are being considered to replace Davis.

Former UFC champion Ngannou left the MMA leaders upon the expiration of his contract and pursued a career in boxing before penning a deal with PFL.

He fought Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua in back-to-back boxing bouts and made his PFL made in October 2024 when he destroyed Renan Ferreira.

Ngannou hasn't fought since his first-round victory over Ferreira in the PFL.

As for Diaz, he's already faced Paul, who won their 2023 contest by unanimous decision. A rematch is being explored.

The Stockton slugger has had two boxing fights since leaving the UFC. He lost to Paul before beating Jorge Masvidal in what was his last appearance back in July 2024.
