Eddie Hearn accidentally leaks Jake Paul's next fight after Cesar Chavez Jr and it's completely stunned boxing fans

The chairman of Matchroom Sport and Professional Darts Corporation gave a clue as to who Paul could fight in the future.

Eddie Hearn may have accidentally leaked Jake Paul’s next opponent after his bout against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Paul, 28, is set to take on Chavez Jr. on June 28 at the Honda Centre in Anaheim, California, in what will be his first bout since defeating Mike Tyson back in November 2024.

And Chavez cited Paul’s bout against Tyson as part of the reason he chose to fight the American instead of fellow influencer-turned-boxer KSI.

“When the offer come to me and I came back to see my friends here, Jake is bigger,” Chavez told ESNews earlier this week.

“People ask me ‘is it one of the fight’s with a better payday for you?’ It’s not, it’s okay but the thing is the opportunity to give him a beating this time.

“I’m fighting him because I want to beat him and that’s the most important thing to me… I love Mike Tyson and I’m the first guy to fight Jake after he beat Mike Tyson and I want to take revenge for Mike Tyson.”

And if Paul comes through his fight with Chavez, who could he face next?

Well, promoter Hearn, 45, seemingly gave a huge clue as to who the 28-year-old’s next opponent will be, when speaking at the Chris Eubank Jr.-Conor Benn press conference.

"We know that Gervonta [Davis] is going to fight Jake Paul in November, and then we'll see what happens,” Hearn told FightHype on April 24.

Davis, 30, who goes by the nickname "Tank" would be Paul's toughest opponent if the pair were to go toe-to-toe in the ring, given the fact the 30-year-old is unbeaten in 31 contests and boasts wins against world-title level fighters such as Ryan Garcia, Leo Santa Cruz, Frank Martin and Yuriorkis Gamboa.

And fans were quick to give their thoughts on social media about the potential fight against Paul.

One said: "If true, Tank is an unserious boxer."

Another added: "There is no way Jake Paul is fighting Tank. Gervonta will literally kill him."

A third explained: "WHAT WILL THEY SAY WHEN JAKE PAUL KOS THE FACE OF BOXING GERVONTA TANK DAVIS LIVE ON NETFLIX IN FRONT OF 100 MILLION VIEWERS."

While fourth quipped: "Nah Jake would never fight someone under the age of 40."

Where to watch the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn fight

At the time of writing this, fans can buy verified resale tickets to the event at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on StubHub from £38 and Viagogo from £71.

If you’re planning to watch from home, DAZN is the exclusive streaming provider for the match. The event will kick off at 5pm BST on Saturday April 26. For a limited time only, the fight PPV price has plummeted from £21.99 down to £19.95. It's good news for new customers too, as you can watch the match as part of a seven-day no-commitment free trial here.
