Dana White Brands Eddie Hearn a 'Lunatic' in Rant as Boxing Promoter Fires Back

A feud is developing between UFC CEO Dana White and Matchroom chief Eddie Hearn.

Eddie Hearn has fired back at Dana White after he was branded a 'f**king lunatic' by the UFC boss.

Things are getting heated between Hearn and White following the latter's entry into the world of boxing.

He is set to front Zuffa Boxing - a new boxing project launched by TKO Group in collaboration with Saudi Arabian events company Sela and influential advisor Turki Alalshikh, who has played a key role in making a series of high-profile boxing bouts, including world title fights involving Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Hearn hasn't held back when asked about White's plans in boxing and the effort by TKO Group to change federal laws around the sport, including The Muhammad Ali Act, which is a legislation that has protected the rights and welfare of boxers for the past 25 years.

Speaking on the Three Knockdown Rule podcast, White was asked about Hearn's comments to which he exclaimed: "Eddie Hearn all of a sudden is acting like a f**king lunatic. He sounds like he's reading a WWE script. I've known Eddie for a while and this isn't his personality."

He later compared the Brit to a politician before concluding: "You're not gonna do jack sh*t."

Well, Hearn caught wind of White's furious rant and issued a spiky response as he vehemently denied suggestions he reads from a script before bringing up his rival's plans to 'abolish' The Muhammad Ali act.

"I've never had a f**king script in my life and no one tells me what to say," he began.

The Matchroom chief added: "I'm a little bit concerned with what I saw from Dana. Because I like Dana. But I saw that interview I was like, it's over. It's over before it's even started. How loud do you wanna talk... just chill.

"I think they should answer some real questions, the most pressing question is why do you want to change The Muhammad Ali act or abolish The Muhammad Ali act that is intact to protect fighters."

Zuffa Boxing are set to launch their first show next year after striking a long-term media rights deal with Paramount last month.

The agreement between Zuffa Boxing and Paramount calls for 12 events in 2026.
